"XL Childcare is committed to providing high quality care that is developmentally appropriate for young children. Our program offers a warm and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of their families."
Children are cared for by twenty members of staff who, collectively, have over one hundred and fifteen years of childcare experience between them!!
Fourteen hold recognised childcare qualifications. Two members of staff are currently studying for their Foundation Degree in Early Years with the University of Bolton. We have two Apprentices, one Chef, one Chef's Assistant, one Lunchtime Supervisor, a Housekeeper and an After School Playleader.
All our staff are CRB checked ensuring the safeguarding of children at all times.

Joanne Brown
Nursery Manager
Joanne has been an important member of the XL Childcare for over 6 years. She has been through the rigourous full time study course required for the National Nursery Examination Board qualification, is NNEB qualified and is now studying for her NVQ 4 qualification.
Joanne is a keen caravaner and likes to spend spare time with her children. She is also busy studying for her NVQ 4, or so she tells us!
Lynsey Williams
Administration Manager
Lynsey has been with XL Childcare since the company started over 10 years ago and helps to keep everything organised and running very smoothly. She too has sat her NNEB qualification and is NVQ 4 qualified. She also has a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
Lynsey is our resident travel expert and has just come back from stays in Barcelona, Chicago, New York, Australia, Malaysia, California and Washington. She clocks up more air miles than Judith Chalmers and counts Hong Kong as her favourite destination!
