We are pleased to announce that we are supporting the SmoothFM charity Macmillan Cancer Support. Today will be a \'Bring a Pound to Work Day\'.  All staff members are going to help us raise as much money as we can.  Some of the staff are going to pay £2 and will be wearing their pyjamas to work!  Very brave!!  If anyone would like to make a donation, please feel free to!  We have been provided with a collection tin which is on Lynda\'s desk.

Friday 10th October 2008.  What a FABULOUS week we have had!  Ofsted issued us with our Registration Certificate, so this meant we could open in our new premises on Wednesday!!  The children have all settled in really well and everyone is absolutely loving the homely atmosphere in the nursery.

Wednesday 8th October 2008. We have had the most  brilliant day today!  Some of our children arrived and settled in really well!  Others will return within the next few days.  Our new premises are absolutely lovely and everyone has commented how homely the nursery looks and feels.  We already feel as if we have been here forever!  Brenda is over the moon with her kitchen which is (unbelieveably) three times bigger than the one at our previous premises!  If you have not done so already, please pop in for a coffee and meet us all and have a good round our lovely nursery!  I will try and upload some pictures on the site, but since our move, the digital camera has gone walkabouts!

We now have our Registration Certificate!!  We open on Thursday 8th October 2008.  May we take this opportunity to thank all our loyal parents/carers, you have all be absolutely WONDERFUL!!  Without your help and words of encouragement, we couldn't have done it!  We will be eternally grateful to you.  Hope to see you all soon!!  Much love, Lynda and all the girls!

We have been advised by Ofsted that they are waiting for two pieces of paperwork before our registration can be finalised.  Now we know for certain that one of these items was hand delivered to Ofsted by one of our mums on Thursday morning!!  Ofsted informed us that it was probably \'going through the system\'!!  So that leaves just one piece of information awaiting processing.  Our wonderful Ofsted Inspector, Rosemary, is having a meeting with her Line Manager on Monday (6th October) and should, according to her, hopefully have some positive information for us! 

We think it only fair to let you know that for existing clients, we will be closing our registers on Friday 3rd October.  If you still require a nursery place for your child, and you have not already advised us, please let us know your requirements by 12noon on that date.  We have a waiting list for new customers, and as from Monday 6th October 2008, places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.  Please do not hesitate to contact Lynda on 07947 031 404 should you need any further assistance or information.

I am happy to report that Ofsted have visited the nursery today (Thursday 25th September 2008) and were very pleased with everything.  There is nothing else for us to do to the building now, and they are only awaiting a few items of paperwork, then our registration will be complete.  We are holding an Open Day on Tuesday 30th September 2008.  Please feel free to pop in and view our lovely new facilities.  We will be open from 10am to 6pm.

Great news!  Ofsted are coming on Thursday 25th September to (hopefully) carry out their final inspection of the new premises!  We have had the new children's toilets fitted.  The cubicles are being erected this week.  We also intend to secure the outdoor play area even further by installing fencing around the soft play area.  If you need any further information, or you just want a quick chat with us, please do not hesitate to contact Lynda B Crowther on 07947 031 404 anytime.

Hi!  We apologise for every item in our news section being dated lst January 1970!!  We are speaking to the people who manage our website and hopefully will have the right date set soon!!

Our visit by Ofsted on Monday 8th September 2008 went very well.  Lynda, Joanne, and Lynsey were all interviewed (and interrogated!!) by the Ofsted Officer.  She asked lots of questions, and we gave her lots of evidence to back up our statements.  Ofsted are still awaiting several pieces of paperwork to complete the registration.  However, because they are having to work to Government legislation from lst September 2008,  we have to install at least two additional toilets to the upstairs bathroom before registration will be granted.  I am happy to say that we are confident that a local plumber will be able to carry out the work this week.   Please do not hesitate to call Lynda on 07947 031 404 should you require any further information.

We are pleased to announce that our new premises will be at the former Tinkerbells Day Nursery building at 273-275 Manchester Road East, Little Hulton.  Tinkerbells operate a Dance Studio at the front of the bulding and we have our our own self-contained rooms at the rear of the building.  Access to our nursery will be around the back of the building via a secure door.  We will be holding an open day/evening as soon as we get all our equipment in and you will then be able to see us operating fully.  Mary and Marion the owners of the building have been extremely supportive of us with our registration for Ofsted, and I am happy to tell you that they have given us carte blanche to do as we please in the nursery!  That means that we will no longer have to ask a committee for permission to display our children's work!! We will be able to provide parents and carers with much more information with regard to community news, details of other agencies etc., etc.  All our staff are chomping at the bit to get installed in the new premises, and they are all planning how their rooms are going to look once they have been able to stamp their individuality on them.  Plus, give the children a couple of weeks, and we're sure you're all going to be absolutely delighted at the change, not to mention the rise in standards of care your children will benefit from by us having our own sole use premises.

We do have new premises to go to, and are currently awaiting our Ofsted registration.  As soon as this is to hand, we will let you know where they are.

We are thrilled to let you know that the children raised a massive £62.30 last Friday for Children In Need. Thank you to all the parents who participated by sending their children in fancy dress, and an even BIGGER thank you to all the staff members who dressed up too!! A HUGE thank you to all parents and their friends who supported the Jewellery Tailors event on Tuesday 13th November 2007. The evening was a tremendous success and everyone went home happy their unique hand-made purchase in one of Rachel\'s beautiful purple boxes in a silk pouch! Thank you once again for your unstinting support, it is VERY much appreciated!

We are very pleased to welcome the following new members of staff who have very recently joined our dynamic team: Julie, Terri, Andrea and Janice. We know that you all invidually bring a great deal of experience and energy to the nursery and we are delighted that you have decided to join us!!

The Jewellery Tailors will be visiting the nursery between 7pm and 9pm to show us their exclusive, hand-made jewellery designs. They will be displaying their full range of jewellery, as well as some unique one-off pieces. You will be able see and feel the quality of everything they offer. The evening will be completely informal and as there is no presentation, you are able to arrive at anytime and browse at your leisure. You will be able to take your chosen hand made jewellery items away with you as they are able to offer credit and debit card facilities on the night. This will be a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping early without having to trawl for miles through the town centres and shopping malls! Well we had a brill time watching The Simpsons movie. Lynda accompanied Mitchell, Toni, Josephine and Sophie. Everybody agreed the movie was great and no-one could decide which was their favourite bit because they all thought it was great. It was so entertaining Toni and Josephine wanted to stay in the cinema and watch it again!! Cool!!

We were very sorry to say goodbye to Sophie and Holly this week. We hope that Holly has a great time at her new school and that Mum enjoys her new part time hours and manages to put her feet up once in a while! Many thanks for your support over the years girls!

Yep!! Due to popular demand, our children are going to be some of the first in the country to see The Simpsons Movie on Thursday 25th July 2008!! They have already got their orders for drinks, popcorn and sweets in!! We are all very excited! Watch out for their reviews next week!

We are happy to announce that we can now accept Paypal for payment of your child care fees. This means that you can use your credit or debit cards online to pay your childcare fees! How great is that?!! This means no having to remember your cheque book, or having to find a parking space while you find an ATM that just happens to be working that day!!
